Frank A. Schubert is a practicing attorney and has been licensed to practice law for 34 years. He formerly was a police administrator in the Dayton Police Department (Ohio), a criminal prosecutor (Wisconsin), and is a professor emeritus at Northeastern University, (Boston), having taught for 25 years in the College of Criminal Justice. At Northeastern, his courses included criminal law, criminal procedure, introduction to law, criminal evidence, the right to counsel, and police discretion.

Schubert is also the author of Introduction to Law and the Legal System, 8th Edition, published by Houghton Mifflin Company.
