Author's Note to Users Regarding the Website's Supplemental Materials

CRIMINAL LAW: THE BASICS takes advantage of recent technological developments and provides instructors with the option of assigning their students to read supplemental materials on the website in addition to the materials in each chapter of the printed text. These supplemental materials are organized by chapter and correspond to the coverage contained in the textbook, and go beyond what is contained in the written text. Instructors, at their option, can thus expand the scope and breadth of the coverage to the extent that time and interest permit. These materials take the form of additional cases, text, statutes, and dissenting/concurring opinions which can be readily assigned by instructors and accessed by students via their computers.
The textbook's dedicated website will be periodically updated to
    1.    Supplement existing materials in the textbook,
    2.    Keep users abreast of recent developments in substantive criminal law,
    3.    Provide students with tips on reading and briefing case reports.
It is the author's hope that this website will keep the textbook lively, current, challenging, and interesting for instructors and their students.
